PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS
A three-floor construction of reinforced concrete including a large mechanical room (steel structure).
Mechanical room on the ground level equal in size to the building itself.
Galvanized steel awning at the entrance.
Footbridge connecting the Institute to Wing no.1 on the second floor.
Visible concrete columns from the ground floor to the first floor.
The undertaking of certain works nearby the existing unloading docks, under conditions requiring decontamination monitored by the CSST.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In total, 24 laboratories will be located in the 80 000 sq ft pavilion equally distributed over the buildings three floors.
Dome-shaped roof (arched metal decking) for the mechanical room.
Laying of concrete for structural floors during cold weather.
Watertight flooring (all openings are protected from overflow by water stops).
A steel aerial footbridge was constructed to join the Pharmacology Institute to the main building hospital center.
An underground passage was built during the construction phase to connect the adjacent animal room.
