SERVICES RENDERED
The global mandate of Dessau-Experco includes the preparation of the engineering studies as well as circulation, economics and environmental studies to complete the plans and quotations of the project. In the course of the environmental studies, detailed inventories of the study zone (hydrology, geomorphology, biology and land use) were performed. Circulation data from origin-destination surveys has allowed the environmental team to clearly identify the impacts of the project during the construction and to forecast the future level of traffic.
The socio-economic studies were performed to acknowledge the level of involuntary resettlement of the population living close to the road (1 500 households), to evaluate, from public and official consultations, the available sites for resettlement in order to limit the impact on the life conditions and to identify the cost of the relocation (moving, formation, compensation).
The environmental studies were realized not only to identify the potential impacts but also to propose mitigation measures. The presence of many bridges along the road axis and the frequent flood problems were also considered. |
