PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Teknika HBA carried out the plans and estimate of the network of cooling, humidification, ventilation / air-conditioning and control.
Unique project involving the restoration and transformation of the former Redpath sugar refinery into luxury condominiums plus commercial space.
Once Montréal ’s largest factory, the Redpath site comprises different types of structures, the first of which (“D”) was built in 1854.
A major challenge was posed by preserving the industrial façade while restoring the structure in compliance with the seismic standards of the National Building Code and preserving a high degree of functionality in using the space. Restoration must also proceed at the lowest possible cost on a fast track basis.
