PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS Hydro-Quebec International was responsible for all aspects dealing with the evaluation of the Hydro-electric potential and the estimation of the power demand. Experco International validated the condition of the existing equipment (stations and lines) and evaluated the investment and works required as a result of the estimated increase in power demand evaluated by HQI.
SERVICES RENDERED The project was realized in collaboration with Hydro-Quebec International. The study included the following aspects :
assessment of the present situation;
analysis of potential needs;
planning of the power demand;
planning of the new installations required in terms of transportation lines, transformation stations, production plants and electricity distribution;
budget and cost planning;
realization of the network studies;
presentation of the Master Plan to the proper authorities.
PROJECTDESCRIPTION To establish, in collaboration with the Rwandan authorities, a Master Plan to electrify seven major Rwandan cities, including the capital, Kigali.
